Stepping off the career track is easy, but getting back on is hard. In March 2005, the Harvard Business Review published a landmark article by Sylvia Ann Hewlett and Carolyn Buck Luce entitled "Off-Ramps and On-Ramps: Keeping Talented Women on the Road to Success." This network is an outgrowth of the amazing response that piece generated. We want this to be a place for people who are either ramping up or ramping down to share their experiences and network with each other. We also want our members to tell us how companies can make this process easier.

On-ramps can ONLY be built by employers. Women faced with this issue know this.
Let’s stop beating around the mulberry bush - and take exacting action to see that tax policy initiatives are crafted by our government.

Some tips....

Some resumes tips....

# List your technical knowledge first, in an organized way. Your technical strengths must stand out clearly at the beginning of your resume. Ultimately, your resume is going to be read by a thoughtful human being, but before it gets to that point it often has to be categorized by an administrative clerk, and make its way past various sorts of key word searches. Therefore, you should list as many directly relevant buzz words as you can… Continue
